Summer Jobs
This is the second year that one of Jared's farmers has hired our kids to pull rye from his wheat field. It's not hard work, but it's hot and a little boring. This year Caleb did almost all of the work himself. He spent close to 20 hours pulling the rye. The picture below is of he and Taylor. He recruited her to help one evening

when Kenna was playing softball.
Caleb and McKenna also do some mowing. Caleb has 4 mowing jobs. One of those is our rental home. The lawn there is almost half an acre, so he and Kenna split it. Caleb was recently hired to mow an elderly neighbor's lawn (as well as her disabled son's) using this nifty Walker mower. He thinks he's pretty cool when he gets to drive it from one home to another.
Another job our kids have done is cleaning the Wood's home when there is going to be a special showing or open house there. Usually that involves mowing weeds, sweeping & vacuuming flies & moths (Isaac did that recently), and cleaning windows.
Also, Jared's intern recently quit, and it's possible McKenna may get to do a little typing for him a couple of days each week.
(Sorry I don't have photos of Kenna mowing. I'm also planning to do a separate post of Taylor at her job.)
